Short Lake is an isolated arms of the Ogoki Reservoir and was one of the three lakes which were combined to form this very large body of water back in the 1940’s. This is an exceptional location, offering isolation from other groups while at the same time, providing access to a huge body of water with endless places to fish. This large body of water produces large walleye and large northern pike.
At this camp we have a newer, 3 bedroom machined log cabin with plenty of room for 10. The cabin features a full size electric refrigerator, full size electric freezer, propane range, all dishes, pots, pans including electric drip coffee maker & toaster, hand crafted pine furnishings, electric lights, electrical receptacles in all rooms, hot & cold running water, shower, wood stove for heat, gas barbeque, two way radio and more.
Electricity for the camp is provided by a 10 kw solar system that we install during the COVID years when we had next to no guests but plenty of time on our hands. This camp also boasts a new screened in fish cleaning house and wood fired sauna. There are 5, 14 foot Lund boats and 6, 15 horsepower 4-stroke Yamaha motors at the camp. Short Lake is suitable for groups of 4 to 10 for 3 to 7 days or more.
